PARTS OF HUNTER ON FLOOD WATCH

Hunter Valley farmers have received a late Christmas present, with more than 100 millimetres of rain recorded in some parts in the last 48 hours.
Good falls have been recorded in the Upper and Lower Hunter, with Murrurundi receiving the most at 53 mills in the past 24 hours.
While the State Emergency Service has issued a flood watch for the Paterson, Williams and Hunter Rivers.
Landholders are being advised to watch the weather and be ready to move pumps and livestock to higher ground.
