MATHS COMPETITION ATTRACTS 17,000

Possible future financial planners, engineers and architects lined up for a pat on the back at the annual Newcastle Permanent Primary School Maths competition awards today.
Of the 17,000 students who took part, New Lambton’s Harry Su won the Year Six division with the only perfect score in the 35-question exam.
While, Mikhail Savkin from the Central Coast received the year five prize.
When asked “So Mikhail, what does it feel like to have won the year 5 division even though you’re only in year 4?”
He replied “It feels good, but I’ve got to get ready for next year”
