Country rugby league’s Greater Northern Academy has stepped up its summer training workload.
At today’s skills session, players were asked to show how they’ve progressed since a weekend camp two weeks ago.
This year is the first time the academy has accepted under-15s.
“They’ve really fitted in well and improving really well. So from a coaching point of view we’re very happy with the way they’ve come into the structure.”
In two weeks, the academy will hold its first game – an intra-squad match at Scully Park on December 14.
