The Rural Fire Service is reminding residents from Grafton to Taree that all fire permits in the region have been suspended until at least Monday.
The current dry conditions have created a high fire danger rating, which will be reviewed next week.
They are several fires burning across the north coast, but at this stage none of them are threatening private property.
Fire authorities say if predicted rain, falls next week the suspensions could be lifted.
