In a first, Casino has entered a development team into the Far North Coast Cricket competition.
The A division side, known as the Cavalier Colts is made up of both young and senior players, coached by former international women’s cricketer Melissa Quinn.
‘Just giving them a bit of an education on batting and bowling, just general stuff really.’
Quinn hopes to steer the younger players towards future selection in the club’s premier squad, the Casino Cavaleirs.
But some of her protege’s have bigger things in mind.
“I want to see how far I can go, international level if i could do that it would be amazing.”
