4WD AND SEMI TRAILER SMASH CLOSES OXLEY HIGHWAY

The Oxley Highway was closed this afternoon following a two-vehicle crash near Bective, West of Tamworth.

Emergency services were called just after 1pm after a four-wheel-drive towing a camping trailer collided with a semi-trailer.

Both directions of the highway were closed for about half-an-hour, while firefighters cleaned up the scene.

One lane was opened shortly after 1.30pm – no-one was injured in the incident.
