TWO MEN ARRESTED IN DRUG RAID

Two north coast men face a string of drugs charges for their alleged involvement in a drug ring.
Police say amphetamines were among several illegal items seized.
Officers from the Richmond Local Area command arrested two men yesterday.
A 32 year old Ballina and 35-year old Byron Bay man, for their alleged involvement in drug ring on the north coast.
Police took older of the two to Byron Bay police station, where he has been charged with supply of a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.
The 32 year-old was taken to Ballina police station and charged with the ongoing supply of a large commercial quantity of prohibited drugs.
“Shortly after the arrest full search warrants were executed in the ballina Byron Bay area. Police investigations in this area are ongoing and we do anticipate further arrests in the coming weeks.”
Both men appeared in Lismore local court this morning where they were formally refused bail, they are currently being held in Grafton and will face court next week.
