From today North Coast beaches will once again be under the watchful eye of surf lifesavers.
“On behalf of FNC Surf Life saving I’d now like to declare the 2011-12 surf life saving season open… raise the flags.”
Lifeguards have now ramped up their patrol’s, following an increase in drownings across the state last season.
“We’ve increased our jet ski patrols this season all the life savers just have to be extra vigilant, they do a brilliant job. all of the drownings happened outside of flagged areas.”
