Orica has begun warming up its Kooragang Island ammonia plant and carrying out equipment checks, in preparation to try and restart it tomorrow.
It follows a failed attempt two weeks ago, after one of the plant’s compressors was found to be faulty.
The ammonia plant was shut down last August, due to a hexavalent chromium leak.
