TWO HOCKEY FIELDS UNPLAYABLE

Two grass hockey fields have been deemed unplayable, ahead of the New South Wales Women’s Masters Tournament in Taree.

The Manning Valley Hockey Club was hoping to use all nine fields at the Taree Recreation Grounds, but last weekend’s wet weather has left two unfit for playing.

Organisers will carry out a final inspection on Friday morning and can readjust the draw if necessary.

More than 60 teams from across the state are competing in the three-day tournament, including six local teams.

The competition gets underway on Friday afternoon.
