Volkswagen’s Sebastien Ogier has taken out Rally Australia in Coffs Harbour.
It was the French driver’s second successive win in the Australian World Rally Car event.
He only has to win one of the next three rallies to take out the world championship.
“It’s a good step for me to get closer and closer and one more victory will be enough – maybe that will be the plan in France,” Ogier told reporters.
It was the trifecta for Volkswagen, winning all three of the top placings.
The UK’s Kris Meeke finished fourth in a Citroen.
