A rock fisherman has been rescued after being washed into the sea at Fraser Park. The man thought to be Korean, was in the water for an hour and almost certainly saved because he was wearing a life jacket.
The Newcastle based Westpac rescue helicopter winched him from the sea and delivered him to waiting paramedics.
The man was treated for mild hypothermia but wasn’t taken to hospital.
