Stockton Beach will remain closed this weekend after high tides and large waves lashed the coast, making it unsafe for the public to access.

The 32km stretch of beach has been closed since the long weekend due to severe erosion and deep flooding behind the fore dune.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service says there isn’t enough beach for 4WD’s to travel safely.
