The North Coast Academy of Sport has launched a new athlete education program in Coffs Harbour.
More than 100 junior athletes and coaches across 10 sports are taking part in the two-day regional workshop that highlights sporting development pathways.
The education program has been targeted to deliver a holistic approach to elite sports.
“So they’ve got support both on court or on field, weight room, nutrition but this starts to look at other areas such as leadership, drugs in sport and goal setting.”
The club industry has committed $200,000 towards the program.
