OVER 40’S CAN GO-KART

Competition is fierce at this weekend’s over-40’s East Coast Go Kart Championships.
An annual event since 1995, over 220 drivers took to the Coffs Harbour race track today in a bid for gold.
“These guys take it very serious, for many of them it’s their one and only race meeting of the year, so they really take it serious and have a go at it,” said Coffs Harbour Kart Club President Troy Brown.
Competitors from around the country have been in town from as early as last week, preparing their karts and practicing on the winding track.
Finals will take place tomorrow afternoon, with the weather not expected to be kind to drivers.
