Former Newcastle Jets player Ali Abbas has signed with Sydney FC for two years.
The former Iraqi international played for the Jets for the past three seasons, but was one of three popular players not offered a new deal with the club for the 2012/2013 season.
It is the first major A-League signing for Sydney FC’s new coach Ian Crook.
