ARROW ENERGY DENIES IT BREACHED LICENCE CONDITIONS

Anti coal seam gas groups on the Northern Rivers are calling for Arrow Energy’s petroleum exploration licence to be suspended, after a State Government audit found breaches of its licence conditions.

The Department of Primary Industries suspects the company – which has been the target of a Lismore protest – of dumping drilling mud at a site in the region.

The report also found four less serious breaches, including a lack of safety signs at well sites.

“It absolutely shows we can’t trust these companies, they say lets do it to the government regulations, the government regulations is not anywhere up to standard to deal with it.”

Arrow Energy has denied the allegations saying the auditors made their claims without testing.
