The Connolly Cup gets underway on Sunday, with defending champion Tamworth travelling to Wolseley Oval to take on Gunnedah in the Western Conference.
The visitors have named a powerful line-up, with eight players having first eleven experience, including star all rounder Aaron Hazlewood.
The match will also be the first time former Gunnedah skipper Ben Middlebrook takes on his old side.
In the other match, Narrabri heads to Moree to take on last season’s runners up.
In the North, Inverell hosts Bingara, and Manilla will look for its second win in a row when Armidale comes to town.
