Newcastle surf club has launched its first new surfboat in 20 years.
City officials along with life members of the club were there to watch the boat being blessed before it was launched.
The $28,000 vessel was purchased thanks to sponsorship and fundraising.
The boat is named after current club president Brad Kinniard.
