The long awaited dredging of the Manning River entrance at Old Bar will begin next weekend.
The Farquhar Inlet Management Group has spent the past 18 months refurbishing the dredge.
The works will improve severely silted channels in five locations between Scotts Creek and Oyster Arm.
Works should be completed by June.
