Despite recent wet weather, work on the Bulahdelah bypass is progressing well, with works more than halfway complete.
Road surfacing has begun at the northern end of the project and will start at the southern part next month.
It’s about 75 per cent complete – only one or two more controlled blasts remain.
The Roads and Maritime Service says, weather permitting, the bypass should open by the end of the year.
