One of Newcastle’s most talented gallopers made his return to the track at Broadmeadow this morning.
Uate – a Group Two placegetter in the Sires Produce as a two-year-old – finished second in his first trial after a lengthy spell.
The colt was found to have a respiratory disease after a disappointing spring campaign in Melbourne.
“I thought his trial was okay and we’ll trial again on the 20th and decide where he resumes.”
