A book known as the “book of life” was launched in Ballina today, to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation.
It contains a collection of stories from donor families and organ recipients, and is currently doing the rounds across Australia.
“We would like people to talk about donation, we encourage people to discuss organ donation in amongst their loves ones to make their wishes known.”
During its travels the book will continue to gather stories to fill its pages and will eventually end up at The National Library in Canberra next year.
It will remain on display at Ballina Council for a week before moving on to Lismore.
