NBN LAUNCH COMES WITH HEFTY PRICETAG

The Federal government has admitted that the National Broadband Network launch in Armidale cost it $140,000.
The $36-billion National Broadband Network went online at Armidale’s Presbyterian Ladies College in May – the first of five initial mainland sites to be activated.
It was organised to show the PM switching on the first mainland NBN connection, but the Opposition has labelled the event as nothing but a publicity stunt.
