One of the coast’s most cherished residents, Tom Picot celebrated his 100th birthday with family and friends at the Entrance today.
Tom, a World War Two veteran, has been recognised with an Order of Australia for services to his country and the RSL.
He’s also been the subject of artist Wayne Dowsent, who’ll enter this portrait of him in this year’s Archibald Prize.
And as for the key to his longevity? He says a glass of rum is the trick.
