Knights skipper Kurt Gidley has praised coach Rick Stone for his efforts during a turbulent season.
Gidley was one of four Newcastle players, along with Neville Costigan, Chris Houston and Aku Uate, who were added to the Kangaroos train-on squad today, providing a small silver lining to yesterday’s loss to the Storm.
