ROOKIE PARAMEDIC SAVES A LIFE ON DAY 1

A rookie ambulance paramedic has been given a heartfelt thanks, by a woman whose life he helped save.
Bob Van Emmerick’s very first call out was to a woman suffering from a cardiac arrest.
Minutes after receiving the call Bob, and fellow paramedic Steve Gregory, were administering CPR to Josephine Hills.
Today, the pair was reunited, with Bob presenting his patient with a Cardiac Arrest Survivors Award and Josephine expressing her thanks to the paramedics who revived her.
After an extended stay in hospital, where she was fitted with a cardiac stent, Josephine says she’s grateful to have her life back.
