POLICE SEEKING OWNERS OF STOLEN PROPERTY

Police are trying to return a large amount of property, seized from a Port Macquarie home, to its rightful owners.

The massive haul, believed to have been stolen, was recovered last month, but at this stage, no charges have been laid.

Police will be showing the items to residents this Wednesday.

“We believe that it was stolen from a number of break and enters around the canals area in Port Macquarie – we’ve identified some owners of the property but we believe that a number of people haven’t yet reported their property stolen,” Crime Manager Inspector Kim Fehon said.

Residents can attend by appointment, and must bring a police report, along with proof of ownership.
