Newcastle’s Blackbutt Reserve again boasts a diamond python display, after the theft earlier this year of two snakes that had lived at the park for 20 years.
Council was determined to replace the non-venomous natives, because of their popularity with visitors.
The new snakes, named Kasha and Trent, were donated… and have extra security on their enclosure.
