TWEED LOOKS INTO JOINING GOLD COAST LIBRARY

Tweed Council has thrown a spanner in the works for the Richmond-Tweed Regional Library management arrangements after rejecting it’s support for a county council structure.

The model is one of a number being considered by Lismore, Ballina and Byron shires and would see services run by a purpose formed council.

Tweed Council voted to continue negotiating , but it will also enter into talks with the Gold Coast about merging library services.
