The Kyogle Turkeys have lost their appeal to have player David Briggs’ four week suspension reduced for kicking Evans Head player, Al Campbell in Saturday’s match.
The Turkey’s failed to convince referees the offence wasn’t serious enough to warrant a month suspension at a judiciary hearing last night.
Coach Mark Doolan says decision is a big blow for the team.
“It will hurt us losing a bloke who can score tries from nowhere”.
The Kyogle Turkeys will play Cudgen on Saturday at Kyogle’s New Park Oval.
