While Qantas and Virgin flights on the north coast returned to normal this afternoon with services restored to Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.
However delays caused by that ash cloud aren’t completely over, with some flights delayed by congestion at Sydney Airport.
A Coffs Harbour airport spokesman says all flights should be back to normal by tomorrow morning.
As many as 900 people were stranded by the cancellation of flights.
