CHARITY WORKER BASHED

A Gold Coast charity store worker has been attacked by a group of young thieves during a brazen daylight robbery.
The 57 year old volunteer was hit in the head with a cup after she confronted the group in the Burleigh Heads Animal Welfare League shop.
A neighbour, who came to help, was threatened with a knife before his car windscreen was smashed.
“I’ve walked back to get in me truck and get away from the joint because he’s got a knife Arrrrgh, bang bang bang, He started hitting me truck”
Two of the alleged offenders were caught not far from the shop.
