A Gold Coast property developer is pressing an assault charge against the man, who, in a matter of days will be the city’s acting Mayor.
Colin Ivory claims, Councillor Cameron Caldwell grabbed him by the throat during a weekend charity event at Sanctuary Cove.
The Councillor says, the allegations are false, and he’s asked the C-M-C to investigate.
Mister Ivory made a complaint to police this afternoon.
