Anti-mining group, People for the Plains, returned to the Land and Environment Court today to continue its fight against the state government and Santos’s Leewood Water Treatment facility, near Narrabri.
The case was adjourned last month.
The group argues Santos should be made to obtain development consent for the project, due to its scale and intensity, however it’s currently considered “CSG exploration”, which doesn’t require it.
The hearing will continue tomorrow.
