Residents of Bonalbo have welcomed plans by the Northern New South Wales Local Health District to upgrade the town’s medical facility.
The health service has been trying to recruit a new GP for Bonalbo, which has been without a doctor for 18 months after the local GP retired.
It hopes that by building a combined acute and aged care facility the job will become more attractive.
