It’s been a successful day for Central Coast competitors at the Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships, with Avoca Beach claiming gold in the lifesaver relay event.
Terrigal’s Alicia Bain and Jessica Davis also took out the final of the open women’s board rescue, catching the perfect wave to beat Northcliffe.
And despite leading the first leg of the open men’s single ski relay, Avoca’s trio of Lachlan Tame, Ben Hamilton and Peter Mitchell secured third place.
