Taree’s Manning River Ratz have been given a financial boost ahead of the 2016 Lower Mid North Coast Rugby Union season.
The club has been granted $14,000 from the state government to upgrade its playing fields.
The funds will go towards new turf and work to even out the playing surface.
It comes after members rallied together to present a petition of more than 500 signatures, pleading for the upgrade.
Club representatives hope the improved fields will mean a better performance from players.
