Traffic conditions at Buchanan will change next week, as work on the Hunter Expressway progresses.
Vehicles will be diverted from Buchanan Road and John Renshaw Drive onto temporary roadways so the Buchanan Interchange can be built.
The detours will be in place until the middle of next year.
The 27-kilometre F3 link between Kurri and Branxton is due to be completed at the end of 2013.
