The Baird Government is set to roll out more shark listening stations along the coast, including two in the Hunter.
The devices will be installed at Hawks Nest and Redhead by summer, with their exact locations yet to be announced.
They send out an alert by Twitter and a state government app, when a tagged shark swims within 500-metres of the station.
10 have already been installed between Forster and the Tweed.
