LIVERPOOL PLAINS COUNCILLORS ARE CHINA BOUND

After 18 months of correspondence, the Liverpool Plains Shire Council has struck up a relationship with Chinese city Jimo.
A group from Quirindi will visit the east coast city next month, to discuss business opportunities and potential student exchanges.
“It’s a fairly up and coming industrial city and it also has a rural background and that sort of thing so we figured it suited us where it’s got both opportunities with the industrial as well as the rural and hopefully open up some opportunities for our farmers as well as our industry in town.”
Local councillors and business owners will attend meetings with the city’s Mayor.
