The Lismore scout group has unveiled its improved hall in Magellan Street.
The group held a morning tea to thank the community leaders who helped secure grants for the $30,000 renovation to the much-loved 70 year old building.
“The floor is now safe to use. We’ve put a lot of lighting in so that it’s much more comfortable for our activities and the young people who are here.”
Fortunately it passed the toughness test, with the cubs and scouts putting their refurbished facility through its paces on what was a very special day.
“94 years ago today the first Lismore scout group was registered as a group.”
