There was an attempted robbery at the Foodworks store at Summerland Point this morning.
Police were called to the shop just after 3 o’clock to find the shop doors smashed, and the ATM damaged.
Police initially believed a small amount of cash was taken, but after further investigation, have determined the ATM was empty at the time of the break in.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers.
