WORK BEGINS ON ILUKA SEWERAGE PLANT

After a lengthy wait, work on the Iluka sewerage scheme is finally underway.

Clarence Valley Council’s just awarded the $16 million contract for the Sewage Treatment Plant.

Survey work will begin this week with construction works starting early April.

The plant is the first of three construction packages for the $41 million new sewerage system.

The move has been welcomed by the town which has been struggling with pollution and water quality issues.
