ARSENIST REMAINS BEHIND BARS FOR MENTAL ASSESSMENT

An 18-year-old will remain behind bars for now after, facing Byron Local Court over a fire that caused significant damage to a Myocum home on Saturday.
18 Year old Matthew Metcalf was remanded in custody, pending a mental health assessment.
The fire broke out at midday on Saturday and caused over 600,000 thousand dollars worth of damage to the 100 year old home.
Metcalf, who has not entered a plea, was charged with malicious damage.
