Gloucester’s Joseph Lewis has clearly set himself some lofty goals this year.
The 21 year old finished third in the Australian under 23 road race final over the weekend, but was slightly disappointed with the result, claiming he was there to win.
Fellow New South Welshman Ben Dyball claimed the biggest win of his career in the solo 122 kilometre event, while Canberra’s Nathan Haas was second.
At times Lewis was more than six minutes behind the leaders during the race, but by the final lap, he was part of a pack which made a mad dash to the finish line.
