Special Drought Envoy, Barnaby Joyce has announced a new drought relief role today.
Jennifer Jeffrey began work on Tuesday, as the farm liaison officer for Northern New South Wales.
It’s the second position of its kind in the country – Ms Jeffrey offering direction to those navigating the crisis.
“My priority will be connecting farmers with services, finding out what they need and how we can support them.”
