Newcastle’s Leigh McKechnie has taken out this year’s Jack Newton Celebrity Classic in the Hunter Valley.
The 2009 New South Wales Open winner finished on an impressive 15 under for the tournament.
Nikki Garrett was the best placed of the ladies.
McKechnie’s final round featured nine birdies and nine pars, to see him finish in front of Japan Open winner, Brendan Jones.
