CFMEU CLAIMS CHINA FREE TRADE AGREEMENT CAUSING DIP IN COALITION POPULARITY

A poll conducted by the CFMEU of nearly 750 voters in the New England electorate has found support for Barnaby Joyce has dropped.

In the recent survey, the Agriculture Minister received 45 per cent of the primary vote, down 9 per cent compared to when he was elected in 2013.

The Union, claims the China Free Trade Agreement could be a possible cause of the change.

Former Independent MP Tony Windsor was offered as an alternative in the survey.

He attracted attracted 38 per cent of the primary vote.
