The Tamworth Thunderbolts reached State League basketball’s final four, after an 80 points to 72 win in Lithgow overnight.
They trailed the Lazers for most of the match, before a late flurry led the side to victory.
Meanwhile the team’s future is secure, with four junior Tamworth sides winning their Northern Junior League grand finals at the Sports Dome today.
After both Under 18s men’s teams, and the Under 12 girls were triumphant, it was up to the Under 16s girls division two side to complete the perfect day.
The hosts downed Port Macquarie by 17, following a dominant first quarter, which saw the Thunderbolts lead by 10.
